home insurance - claim on legal protection

Hi all
I'm mid-claim against legal protection on my house insurance (nasty neighbour dispute) but my previous insurers 'can't quote' for a renewal so I'm trying to do online quotes for replacement. My cover expired - it was not cancelled or refused.
The legal protection was a bonus 'add on' to my buildings and contents policy ('free'). When I'm putting the quotes through online - there is no option to state legal protection claim and it doesn't fit within any of the other categories. Has anybody experienced similar or any good ideas for how I can accurately reflect this situation for quotes?
Thanks

As far as I know, the LegProt cover you have when the case was begun out remains as such, regardless of whether you subsequently change to another provider. The original cover is obliged to continue with the case as long as it's valid, even if your house policy (inc LP) expires; you have paid upfront for this LP cover, so it remains valid.I also haven't seen any reference to 'LegProt' when renewing house insurance in terms of 'Have you made any claims in the past 5 years' type questions; I've always read these Qs as referring to actual claims on your house insurance policy. The LegProt is almost always - perhaps always always - taken out with a third party - a Legal specialist - to the actual house insurance provided. When you renew your house policy - which will obviously include LP - that should start anew as before. The current legal case remains with the provider you were with at the time, regardless of whether that meanwhile expires.2

Thanks for your reply and yes the old insurers confirmed my cover continues as the LP kicked in during my period of insurance.
Clearly I don't want to risk invalidating a new policy by not declaring a claim IF this is a claim?! Might have to use the old fashioned 'speaking' to somebody on the phone rather than online.
Thanks again your response was in line with what I was thinking.1
