RCD tripping overnight

Yesterday morning we woke to find the RCD had tripped in the night. Eventually all the switches were able to be switched on without tripping so thought it was odd and keep an eye on it but went about our day. Usual usage through the day: oven, TV, washing machine, fridge freezer etc.
The same thing has happened again this morning. I've been able to find the group of sockets/appliances that appear to be causing the issue (kitchen through to conservatory, excluding the hob as this appears to be on a separate circuit). We've recently moved in so still getting to grips with the place.
The only things we had plugged in and switched on at the wall on both nights, in affected areas were:
Fridge freezer
Oven (integrated, no access to power source)
iPad that was on charge
Washing machine
Judging by how far the iPad charged would probably have happened in the early morning. We've unplugged the things we can which just leaves the Oven (which would only have had the LED Clock active?) and the RCD is still tripping. It seems weird that the hob is off a different circuit (marked "cooker", and working) with an exposed switch for power, whilst the oven is off the sockets circuit and there's no way to switch it off from the wall.
We're trying to find an electrician, but it's curious it seems to happen in the early morning. Anyone have any guesses as to what could be happening?

It's probably the fridge freezer; it's a common culprit. I wonder if the frost free kicks in during the early hours.0

One possibility is that the outlet is behind the oven in the oven housing. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Central heating system kicking in in the morning?{Signature removed by Forum Team - if you are not sure why we have removed your signature please contact the Forum Team}0

Do you have an immersion heater? If so, is it on the same RCD that trips, and does it have a timer?0

My immediate thought was something being left to charge overnight, so the Ipad would be my prime suspect.

Be a shame if it is the fridge freezer as we only bought it a month ago, as I say we've unplugged everything except the oven and the RCD was still tripping.
We have a combi boiler but I think that running off a different circuit as it's upstairs and powered on when we reset reset the switches that aren't tripping the RCD(however it has developed a fault now, possibly because of switching off and not the fault?)0 -
I should add the heating was set to "Off" and I think only kicks in at 5°C0

Might be worth turning off all the other RCDs, and trying to see if something unexpected is still on in case there is a random wired spur somewhere.1

Yeah we've tried turning everything off and no joy.
Founder the cooker switch, it was behind the old integrated fridge unit, but no joy there either.
I'm out of ideas now, have to wait for an electrician now. Thanks for the pointers everyone, one thing is for sure, the integrated stuff is going when we can get round to doing that. Massive pain trying to get around all that stuff.0 -
It could be that the RCD is faulty...Another reason could be the communications hub for the smart meter being too close to the consumer unit - There is some anecdotal evidence on the web suggesting this is a possible cause - https://community.eonnext.com/threads/7034-Smart-meter-causing-RCD-unit-to-trip
