Waiting in disabled bay for 5 mins

Thanks for your suggestions so far. There are a couple more photos on the website. The last one shows me fully in the bay. The first as I'm driving in to the bay was taken at 14:09:19 and the last one where I'm in the bay at 14:09:37. That's 18 seconds total time covered by the photos (excluding the one taken as I entered the car park.

In the last photo you can clearly see there is no blue badge.
Do any of the photos clearly show a wheelchair symbol in the bay?

Photos covering 18 seconds showing no blue badge is irrelevant. You put them to strict proof that no badge was displayed after the vehicle was parked (after 19 seconds and onwards).
You can see the very edge of the disabled signage on the floor beneath the car in one image. Just a sliver of it.

But is there a contractual sign there?

Lines on the road do not create a contract.

  • I took some photos. Interestingly they have now painted over the first bay.

I would also argue that compared to the vivid wheelchair in the second pic, the one in the bay I parked in is faded.

I would also have needed time to read the terms and conditions before deciding whether I could park there. As I understand it, disabled bays and blue badges don't necessarily mean the same thing in a private car park.

Just ignore them. As advised already.

Come back if you get a court claim. Tell them if you move house.

In other words, none of the PPC's images show that the parking space is an accessible bay, and the surface markings have been repainted since the alleged event, therefore they have no proof the vehicle was parked in an accessible bay and have since destroyed any evidence that might have helped their case.
Ignore it from now on, but come back if you ever get a court claim.

  • Thought it was worth updating - i managed to get this cancelled by the coffee shop i had visited. They were a !!!!!! to get hold of, and initially i was told there was nothing they could do. I kept on at their socials and eventually they got in touch to say they had had the fine cancelled. Plan A ftw.

Check the PPC's website in a few days time for the current status of the charge, to be certain the PPC has actioned the instruction.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Embarrassing retailers on social media about their rogue parking firms is a powerful tool.
