Waiting in disabled bay for 5 mins

I got a PCN the other day from a managed car park at a Starbucks drive thru (UKPS) for not displaying a blue badge.

The server told us to "wait in the bay at the front of the store". I drove round and saw some yellow hashed bays and assumed they were waiting bays and went in. Kids were being distracting so I must have missed the signage.

I have tried Plan A to no avail. I was told that this had happened previously and that they were in the process of having those spaces changed into waiting bays instead of disabled bays.

I was there all of 5 mins. Is this worth fighting?

Thanks

No-one pays UKPS.  Show us the PCN but cover your VRM and your name & address.

DO NOT cover any dates & location.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just ignore them, honestly. There's no evidence on those photos and yet there's no real 'appeal service' as you know, from reading the NEWBIES thread.

That's bonkers, one of those pictures is of you reversing out or driving in, and there is only one other photo, you could have taken the blue badge off as you left or taken a minute to find it and put it on the dash.

That looks like a picture of a moving car at a point where the driver realised they shouldn't park in that bay and were actually reversing out to park elsewhere.

In other words, that picture is not evidence of being parked in a disabled bay.

Apart from that, where is the evidence of no blue badge being displayed in that car?
If the car was in motion at the time of being photographed, then it is to be expected that no blue badge could be seen at that time.

Are there any other images on the parking company's website about this alleged parking event?

There don't appear to be any surface markings to show the space where the car is located is actually an accessible bay, unlike the bay next to it. If you live nearby I suggest you go and get a photo (on foot) to see if it is marked as an accessible bay.

Have a look on the PPC's website to see if there are any other images of your vehicle. If there aren't then I would appeal stating the vehicle wasn't in an accessible bay, and in any case it was photographed whilst moving, not parked.

You have left the PCN number showing in your post. You should delete or redact it. A person or persons unknown could do a lot of damage with that information.

Agree.  No sign of a wheelchair symbol.

Thanks for your suggestions so far. There are a couple more photos on the website. The last one shows me fully in the bay. The first as I'm driving in to the bay was taken at 14:09:19 and the last one where I'm in the bay at 14:09:37. That's 18 seconds total time covered by the photos (excluding the one taken as I entered the car park.

In the last photo you can clearly see there is no blue badge.

Do any of the photos clearly show a wheelchair symbol in the bay?

Photos covering 18 seconds showing no blue badge is irrelevant. You put them to strict proof that no badge was displayed after the vehicle was parked (after 19 seconds and onwards).

Just ignore them if the bay was unclear.
