They’ve been installing around us in the NW for the last 6 months- maybe Lincs didn’t have as big a pool of installers to recruit from in the first place. The incompetent and untrustworthy bit- is that personal experience or just a wild generalisation @Fredw56?Smart Tech Specialist with Octopus Energy Services (all views my own). 4.44kW SW Facing in-roof array with 3.6kW Givenergy Gen 2 Hybrid inverter and 9.5kWh Givenergy battery. 9kW Panasonic Aquarea L (R290) ASHP. #gasfree since July ‘230

With England it is probably a case of sensing demand from enquiries and ramping up training/installation teams to cover it at a later date, if we are lucky, but if servicing costs are high or if hot water can't be disabled (otherwise has to be heated on a regular basis for hygiene) then it would not work for me as no point getting rid of gas to save on servicing (mostly free, clean the filter myself) or s/c. "New" Labour (possibly with LibDEms) may mean more eco friendly free treats on the table if they actually have any ministers who can intelligently throw govn money around rather than the current lot. Back to free solar with the revenue going to the govn and a massive roll-out of battery storage sited in people's gardens but run by the grid (money coming from savings in not doing new industrial sized power plants). Tech changes make many things possible.0
