Company called Love Holidays

Dear All, I think it's important for any of you, your relatives or friends who are even thinking about using this company for a holiday to read the many adverse reviews on trustpilot website. This company is no longer an ABTA member - which is maybe why there are so many unhappy customers. I am posting this because a relative of mine had such a disaster using this company that we believe it is only fair to advise potential customers to do some research first. To sum things up if things go wrong then you may well not get any help or support. Please read the 1 star reviews.

Love holidays haven’t been a member of ABTA since 2020. They are still ATOL protected though which I believe covers package holidays

    maybe share the disaster ?

Well firstly, with a first post like that loads of people will look at the website - thus giving the company free publicity which is probably not what the poster wanted.

Apart from that the company has got 125k reviews of which 66% are 5* - so it can't be all that bad.

Of the 1* reviews the company do reply on trust pilot so again perhaps not all bad!

I still wouldnt book a package with them for the simple reason they dont operate their own airline, I would much rather use someone like TUI, Jet2, and at a push Easyjet, where its all wrapped in together with the same company.
  • If you checked trust pilot before taking out insurance you would never take any out at all.
  • Love Holidays reputation is hardly breaking news hereabouts.

I used easy jet holidays back in October last year for a holiday in sep, this year ( first time using them in years). 6 days before my holiday they emailed to say hotel overbooked , they offered me an alternative in a different part of the island , I booked very early to get the hotel I wanted in a specific part of the island so I cancelled for a refund and managed to get a flight with jet2 and a hotel in the resort I wanted all be it not the same hotel….not what you want 6 days before you are due to travel tho

Overbooking can happy with anyone tbf, it wouldnt put me off using any company if they sorted it out in an acceptable fashion.

They didn’t sort it in an acceptable fashion. That’s why I cancelled for a refund 6 days before I was due to travel and 11 months after I booked it.
  • Did you get a full refund etc.without any problem(s) ?
Doesn't sound like Love Holiday's usual modus operandi, as previously reported
What la531983 said yesterday at 3:12pm is fair comment IMO.
OTA and DIY holidays are fine - until something goes wrong - airline issues being the main cause.

Not much they could do if the hotle only told them 6 days before that they ( the hotel) had overbooked. It wouldn't be Love Holidays who id the overbooking

if Love Holidays didn't have rooms available in another close hotel they couldn't magic one.

Jet2 had empty rooms in one of their allocated hotels. Love Holidays may not have had a contract with that hotel.
Getting a refund from Love Holidays was a very good result, knowing their reputation.
