Suggestion
If you have shown the care home as father’s address on page 1.
For para 1 on page 2
[full name] residing sometime at [will address] and latterly at [care home address]
the Sheriffdom of Tayside, Central and Fife in Scotland
For para 2 on page 2,
That I am
along with [insert brother’s full name] residing at [insert brother’s full address] the executor-nominate of the deceased conform to his will dated the [insert date of will] which is exhibited, docquetted and signed by me as relative hereto, and that I and the said [insert brother’s full name] are sons of the said deceased. In said will the said deceased is designed as residing at [insert will address], a former address.
This assumes that there are no other name or address differences in the will.

Hi
Thank you all for all the great info on here! It’s been so very useful.
Is it ok to submit a word doc print out instead of filling out the inventory on the C1?Would you think this would be accepted? We have already had one refused but we have redone it to this as we realised we had got it wrong.Thanks0 -

It is accepted practice by some professionals not to use the inventory but to append a separate spreadsheet. So using a word doc would be similar, providing your additions were accurate. Para 5 would then need to be amended to refer to ‘a paper apart’ by interlining.

Ah perfect! Thank you. So we can use this document but move the list of things in number 6 into 5. :-) Should we state in the inventory box on form C1 that it is on a separate sheet or leave that blank as we will have as you state put 'a paper apart' in Para 5? Thank you so much!0

Hi Thank you for all the advice, we have picked up the grant of confirmation this morning. Does anyone know, the step where it is suggested you put an ad in the Edinburgh Gazette to make a public announcement, is that a legal requirement or just a recommendation in order to make sure no one wants to contest the will or make a claim etc? That is simply not going to happen in our circumstances. Are we ok to leave things as they are with the original death notice in the local paper? Thanks

Hi, Currently trying to complete a C1 confirmation. My father's Christian name on the will differs from the name on his birth certificate and as he was in a care home when he died the address on the will is where he formerly lived. Where do I include this information? Also my mum is entitled to half his pension which is paid monthly. Is this included in his heritable estate and need to be included on the inventory?0
