TalkTalk retention deals - haggling success?

Hi,

My TT broadband contract ends in 3 months. I have 3 of their Eero mesh wifi devices which may become unusable if I switch to another ISP. I am happy with the service I'm getting, but not so happy with the price (and the hike at the end of the contract).

Did anyone manage to get a good deal with their retention team recently?

Another thought, I might let the contract/service end, go temporarily on 3g broadband and sign up again with TT as a new customer on a better deal (with MSE vouchers or Quidco cashback).

Phone them up and ask for it.
Search market for new customer deals and bounce them off TalkTalk.  You may be surprised.
  • I agree.
They seem rather desperate when it comes to customer retention.
I've been on the standard FTTC service (i.e. fibre to the cabinet) for few years and I've always managed to keep my monthly bill lower than £25 a month, on a 12 month contract (which officially they don't sell anymore).
You don't need to call them, you can open a chat and ask to speak to the loyalty team.
Just be prepared before your chat, i.e. check on the market other cheap options and ask them to match the price.
