Virgin to O2
Since moving to O2 I’ve not got such a great signal and incoming calls often go straight to voicemail. I’ve still got 12 months to go on the contract. I’ve rebooted iPhone any other setting change I should do to improve reception? Or do I need to just suck it up and move in 12 months?
Many thanks

How many bars of signal typically?
Is enabling WiFi calling an option?0 -
1-2 bars and WiFi calling is an option at home but only in parts of the house0

Have you tried doing a network reset? If you search for 'iPhone network reset' you should get an Apple support page with the appropriate and up to date instructions for your phone.
I was having signal and phone number issues when I switched network recently (EE to iD in my case), I tried the same steps as you and got nowhere, and I needed a network reset to sort it out. As long as you choose the correct option ('Network Reset', and NOT 'Erase All Data and Settings'!), you won't lose any data. You will need to key in any WiFi passwords again (if there are other iPhones in your household, they can share the password with you making it quite quick to get back on home WiFi at least)

Its always a good idea to check coverage and performance before changing networks - Virgin use Vodafone which is a different network to 02.
The differing locations of the cell towers and frequency bands can make a big difference to the sort of signal that you can get.
For instance we live out in the fenlands of Cambridgeshire where Three is good, EE is acceptable but VF and 02 are virtually non existent. However, in the nearest village, just three miles away, Three is poor, VF is just about adequate 02 is 0K and EE is non existentNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

Actually Virgin was on EE and are now on O2.Am a Virgin customer and the signal now is ok but never as good as EE based on the places I need a signal.Thinking of going back to EE.0

I will add since moving over from virgin to O2 my monthly contract has doubled from £13 a month to £29 a month. I don't use any of the unlimited phone calls or Data, I liked Virgin better. Also within some months of joining O2 a so called friend fraudulently took a expensive O2 contract out in my name and had the phone delivered to his own house, O2 were pretty bad with dealing with it, it took months to sort out. Apparently its very easy to take out fraudulent contracts out with O2.0
