Gatwick airport parking fine when my car under parking company care

Received car parking fine at Gatwick airport ( from Parking Eye)after we had already handed over our care to the parking team we had booked with ( Just Park me). Unfortunately I paid it on arriving home ( worried in case the fine escalated) and have been trying to get reimbursement from the parking company. Just Park me  stated it was airside parking responsibility, but having contacted Airside Parking  customer services, they have said,  they can not reimburse this and I need to take it up with Parking Eye directly. The fine is not even for the original car park we handed over the car in at Terminal 3 but another one on Gatwick site. Parking Eye will not process appeals if more than 28days since  fine was given, which has now passed while trying to resolve this with airside parking customer service team. 

I feel that the fine has been incurred by the parking company team we had paid to look after our car and that as such they should reimburse us the fine. Has anyone else experienced this and any advice on how to proceed . Thanks

It is not a "fine". Please give me £20 for each occurrence of the word "fine" in any correspondence that mentions it.

Having paid PE, you have left yourself in a worse position than before. You succumbed to the bribe discount which is designed to get gullible victims to pay into their scam. By paying it, you basically admitted liability for the alleged contractual breach.

You will probably have to sue JustParkMe to get anything back. Easy enough to do if you use the MCOL service.

Get your local MP to assist you with a formal complaint to:

1.  The Airport owners
2.  Just Park Me
3.  The parking firm*

* are you SURE this is the company called ParkingEye? They don't operate at Gatwick Airport.
