Bear in mind that, if there is no PPC contract in place, the car park will be fair game for any and everybody else to park there - and there will be Not One Tiny Thing you can do to stop them, short of physical barriers to prevent entry.

    No it won't.

That's the sort of 'driver blame' culture that we only hear from PPCs. It is a myth and there's nothing wrong with a gate or a chain, or parking posts and a polite sign.

No residential estate needs a PPC.

It will take a few years, but I hope they are all dumped as the penny drops with MAs what they are doing to people.

That will be the end of the scum ex-clampers.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The contract would still likely remain in place to be honored by the new managing agents.

It sounds like you want rid of the parking company anyway though, so I'd look and see what their cancellation clause is, or point out that now you are aware of what they are doing isn't actually legal you'll work with the residents to ensure that all invoices are appealed and defended robustly at court, and you may find they'll just give up.

Unless it's one of the self-reporting places in which case you'd need to ask the resident filing the reports to stop wasting everyones time.
    Thankyou @Herzlos

How does "self reporting" work in detail?
    1. Create an Account
    2. Install Signs
    3. Issue Tickets

    and  for all other replys.

"Self reporting", can access to the reporting app be restricted to one or more password holders?

Would appreciate views of any one with direct experience of using a "self reporting" app for a small private parking area.

    Thanks for all replys.

I don't think you'll find any self ticketer coming on here to discuss his/her nefarious activities.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
