  • It looks like they’ve flagged it as potentially fraudulent. As someone said on the other post, to them this could look like you bull buying 20 watches for dirt cheap from eBay and attempting to claim a $299 refund and a 40% off voucher. Plus the account name/payment names not matching up. I can see why they may have flagged it as suspicious and looking at it more in depth.

Have you tried calling them on the number on the website?

If they aren’t giving you straight answers, they likely have flagged as suspicious. They’re unlikely to say directly they think you’re attempting to pull a fast one/attempting to defraud the company; but will just say in general terms ‘it’s under review’, ‘we’re looking into it’, ‘bear with us’.

In that case - file via small claims court (likely in Ireland) and hope it’s too small of a case for them to fight. But you’ll likely only be able to claim for the damages you’ve suffered (ie cost of the items) not the value of the payout, so if you got them for £100 each and thought you’d be able to double your money, I doubt that’ll be the case.

You have no contract with Fitbit.

If someone on Facebook/eBay sold you 20 Fitbit watches then you need to go back to the person you bought them from and claim your losses from them.

You'd be claiming the value of a second hand watch that is 4 years old plus however old they were when you got then. A 6 year old Fitbit is worth what? £5?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I had purchased 26 Fitbit Ionics watches all second hand.

In March you posted that you had 18....have you since purchased another 8?
Have you asked Fitbit if they could possibly refund you the prices you paid (with the evidence) instead of the recall price offer? - you wouldn't make the big profit but you would also have no loss.
