Paragon Bank iSA account no

I'm trying to move a Paragon Bank ISA to Shawbrook online but Shawbrook's website repeatedly says the Paragon account no is invalid. It is in the format AAA999999AA. I've tried several different variations eg dropping the leading letters, end letters etc but it won't accept any of these. Should I be entering this info in the 'roll number' box instead of 'account number'? Thanks.

Hi,are you missing a third letter at the end, my account number has AAA999999AAA, last 3 letters are actually first 3 letters of my surname?2

Same here, my account number was three letters, six digits, three letters.1

When I apply for an ISA transfer using an online form that involves an account number that doesn't fit the usual 8 numerical digit format, I put it in the roll number field as that will usually accept any combination of letters and numbers.

Hi, thanks all, that probably explains it as the third letter of my surname is actually a space!! I have so much trouble with my name and banks! I will try to put it in the roll number instead.1

Yes put it in the roll number and leave the other account fields empty1

Their account details are:Sort code: 40-02-50
Account number: 31344897
Payee: Paragon Bank PLC
Payment reference: Your Paragon account number or application reference number.

Put your AAA999999AA in as your payment reference/roll number1 -
Hi Chloe
I trust that your transfer went through okay.
These transfers can sometimes be a bit tricky.
Sounds like a good move re moving FROM Paragon Bank. In my experience they are fine if everything's done online; however the minute you call them you are transferred to under-trained and somewhat inept Customer Service Reps. I had a problem manually changing my address (their drop down didn't have my full address) and the number of times I had to change it was ridiculous. They even changed it to: "Flat, Somewhere Road, City, Postcode - no mention of flat number, number of house etc. Their online interface isn't the best but I was even sent a letter to the above nonsense address and luckily it got to me. It took 7 attempts to change my address, and all the while it had failed to transfer an ISA for me, because the address didn't match with the new provider. I've made a formal complaint but doubt I'll hear anything from them.
I refuse to put any of my money with them now as you get a much better service with the likes of Skipton BS who are in a different league.1
