Can I cancel sky and then take out a new contract under another name?

Hi all! My mum is a loyal sky customer whom is now out of contract and pays £34.00 a month for sky entertainment only. She also has an old HD box which is starting to go faulty. She also pays for fibre broadband to another company until next April (another £20.00) Does anyone have experience of whether you can cancel sky and then take out a new contract under another name at the same address? We have seen a deal for £36.00 which includes Sky Stream, Sky Entertainment and Netflix with superfast broadband + Sky pay as you talk (with a £50.00 amazon voucher). Thank

Yes just tell them you are moving out and don't want to take it with you. Someone else can then sign on as a new customer.

You may have a gap of a few days in between though.

I've heard of others doing this but they said at the time that the dd will need to come out of a different bank account. Sky will notice otherwise, not sure if this is true or not.
