Royal Mail Shipping via ebay. Benefits and how to pay? + tracking question.

hi.
using tracked 48 as an example. it's the same cost (£3.29+16p to take to post office) if purchased via ebay or directly from RM.
is there an actual benefit of buying through ebay? i assume the tracking auto populates rather than having to manually input the details?
my main reason for this point is that it appears the only way to pay for postage via ebay is using Paypal, not my card on account. is this correct?
if you use a none tracked postal service (RM 2nd class) does it rely on the buyer to confirm receipt before funds are released?
thank you.

Your hold will almost certainly require some sort of delivery confirmation, tracking is ideal, but buyer feedback is also possible, but many buyers no longer leave feedback, I find only about 2/3 ds at most do, and it is considered very bad form to ask for feedback!Incidentally 2nd class standard parcels do have delivery confirmation, that shows up automatically on eBay when you buy from them. I use that for all my sub £20 items as it costs just £2.99.The hold though will probably stay on for longer than the delivery time, it is not unusual to wait the full 21 days regardless of delivery confirmation or not.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Yes some people will moan that is shows despatched and yet it hasn’t gone, but frankly some buyers moan about absolutely everything, including buying something SAturday afternoon and not getting it personally delivered by a Royal Footman at 8am Monday morning!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I prefer to buy directly on the Royal Mail website, but it is annoying copying all the tracking numbers!0 -
It's a shame you can't use your eBay selling funds, or have the labels appear on your transactions history as a fee, to buy postage, or anything on eBay really. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces1
