Deposit Time with Shawbrook Bank

I've recently opened a 1Yr fixed rate cash ISA with Shawbrook Bank and have this morning attempted to deposit my £20k ISA allowance. Payment has left my Lloyds current account fine (albeit with LOTS of warnings), but it is not showing in my Shawbrook ISA even after several hours. I was under the impression that these payments normally go through within minutes, or at least within a two hour time period. I've quadruple checked the account number and sort code of where the payment was sent to and it is correct. Has anyone else on here got an ISA with Shawbrook and can put my mind at rest that the delay is normal and that I haven't just lost £20k of my money?

When I opened a Shawbrook Easy Access Cash ISA last year, faster payments into it took around 2 hours to show up. Payments into other types of Shawbrook accounts have typically taken between 1 and 4 hours (never minutes).

If you're sure you entered the details correctly (and presuming that the payment hasn't been stopped by your bank), then I wouldn't worry if it's only been a few hours. You should get a confirmation text when it arrives, provided they have a mobile number for you.
  • When I opened a Shawbrook account a couple of weeks ago, my initial credit didn’t show up until the next morning.
Subsequent credits have been much quicker (non ISA account).
As someone else said, you do get a text from them when it lands.
    I wouldn’t worry until tomorrow.
  • I’ve just had the text message to say that the deposit has gone in, so I can breathe easy that I’ve not lost a large chunk of our savings 🎉🎉🎉
For anyone else in a similar situation it took around six hours to actually arrive.
Thanks to those who replied 🙂
  • Shawbrook are great-----most of my savings over £100,000 have been with them in a Joint Savings Account for over a year and the time to transfer has varied from less than an hour to overnight. I am really impressed with Shawbrook ( and they tell me when transfer has been made). Why do people worry about how many minutes or hours a transfer takes as long as it's not days ??????
