Glad things are all going well, and as you say work will settle (eventually!).
I am very excited about your TfL bench 😂
Well done on nabbing that National Trust free pass! I'd not heard of that scheme, will give it a look4 -
Well done on the pass. I use my sc all the time, in fact just done some soup in it and blitzed it. Hope the bench arrives on time.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

EH - haven't you got an extractor fan over your cooker? It's what I use when I use my PC as it takes most of the steam straight outside. My kitchen also doesn't have any external vents other than that.

Pleased you’re enjoying experimenting with the multi cooker.
It must be lovely having a garden….even better doing a cost free sort out 👍January spends - £587.583 -
I know what you mean about work, I seem to be the go to person for all sorts of random stuff, no one seems to be able to find things out for themselves. Sounds like you’ve got lots of great plans for the garden, looking forward to reading about what you’re growing next year.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

You can just scrub the beetroot and I then chop the ends off.. pressure cook - the skins then come off easily once cooked and cooled a bit and you keep more of the juice in it.
I open the window when I take off the PC - only takes a few mins. I remember my mums scary PC with its sounds.... but this is easy -
My 7 in 1 has sous vide but I am not likley to bother trying that and I already have a slow cooker - the saute and PC is amazing.
I also have a halogen oven -which does amazing roast chicken
This bench sounds great.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Exciting about the bench!
Sorry work is challenging, hope it settles soon and others pull their weight!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -
I’m another window opener when releasing the pressure - it’s a bit of a pain in winter though! Very envious of your air fryer lid - they don’t do that on the mini and I don’t have room for anything bigger.
After your mention of the bench, I was in the Transport Museum shop the other week and really want an armchair in Liz line moquette…. But even with the 10% discount code my mum got when she bought some postcards while we were there, I don’t think we’ll be buying one anytime soon - I’ll have to live vicariously through your bench instead!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

TMV we timed things well with the bench as they were doing a 20% off all moquette items at the time. We saved birthday money given to us by each of our Mums, so that paid a chunk of it, then some of the balance will be covered when we get to selling my Dad's coin collection as Mum wanted us to put the proceeds of that into the house, and Dad would have adored the bench I think! Some of the moquette furniture is scarily expensive though, and I've got my suspicion might not actually be all that comfy to sit on...! The purchase of the bench also now gives us a 15% off next purchase code to use, and as there is a framed print we have our eyes on, that may be getting used soon-ish!
Multicooker got used last night to cook the veggies to go with the couscous - and very efficient it was too, including meaning I could just drop the chunks of lamb in for the final 5 minutes to reheat. At the moment I can see it being used in airfyer mode most, with the other options being far more sporadic. I must try to saute setting at some stage though, especially after reading LWAP's testimony on that side of things!
All pretty quiet here and - hurrah - working week (where things are definitely NOT quiet!) now almost done, just tomorrow to go.
I'll do a proper update tomorrow I think - things are just ticking over on the MSE side of things here at this stage in the month - so nothing much to report.
