Nothing like knowing you have to start emptying the freezer - I keep saying it but then see one more YS thing to buy to squeeze in there
I’m determined to eat it down and defrost it in November
I now know loads about agile Oct… I am still fighting the good fight with the awful Scottish energy company ..DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Hope your throat is feeling better tomorrow EH. Really useful insight into Agile Octopus, if and when they sort out my complaint may look into this for myself. Thought of you last weekend , when I got off the tube at the Battersea Power Station stop, have you been there yet ?Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.4

Hope the threatened tonsillitis b*ggers right off, make sure to take good care of yourself.
I had mine out when I was a kid for which I'm very grateful, people do seem to suffer horribly with it4 -
I get tonsilitis a lot and it's horrible. Gargling with salt water helps."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3

Tonsilitis is the reason my hearing is not good. It used to go on to infect my ears, before the normal use of antibios. My tonsils are no longer with me but the hearing problem is, just too much scar tissue they say. So do not let any tonsilitis take hold - it is not minor & to be just ignored.

I started with a sore throat which turned into the worse cold I’ve had in a long time and a very wheezy chest. It’s been strange as when I was working and carrying on as best I could it turned into respiratory infections 9 times out of 10 and I always ended up on antibiotics….this is what I thought I was destined for with this lot. But I’ve rested and fed myself nutritious soups and meals and it is clearing nicely. My throat is still feeling ‘scratchy’ but no longer sore and my wheeze is less although it keeps reminding me it’s there with its cough little friend. Hope you feel better soon. There are lots of strange germs out there atm.January spends - £587.584

@milann - I've been exactly the same this week. Took to the sofa on Monday feeling absolutely yuk but having rested and eaten lots of fruit, veggies and drunk lots of ginger, honey and lemon concoctions It has eased and I'm now at about 90% wellness levels. There was always pressure from my boss to carry on working when ill and I'm sure it makes it worse let alone the sharing of germs with everyone else. I remember going on a 2 hour train trip to attend a meeting with boss lady and drinking a whole bottle of cough medicine to try to quell my hacking cough. Should have learned the power of saying no much sooner than I did.
EH hope you are feeling much better.5 -

Just caught up, @EssexHebridean. Hope your lergy is soon on its way out. There are a lot of them around atm. Covid has been spreading at Mr F's work thanks to a peripetetic training team & there seem to be nasty colds & stuff locally too. I did have covid in 2022, but haven't had a cold since Christmas 2019. I'm therefore expecting my next one to be grim.....not for any sciencey reasons, just think I must be storing it up for a big one!
Hope you arw feeling better very soon.
