I honestly hadn't even remembered the camera show was on until someone mentioned it in a thread on another forum Redo! I'm finally committing to the lens purchase purely because a friend basically said "Oh for goodness sake just do it!"
L It is meant to be here in 7 - 14 days - which I bet means *just* the other side of easter!

Thanks all - I am very excited as you might imagine! 😁
Pub visit last night did indeed happen - and I tried a new-to-me beer as well which was very pleasant indeed! Only cost me £2,74 for the two halves I bought when I got there - then MrEH bought me another pint when he arrived so that was a bonus! As mentioned previously - all personal spends too so household budget neutral.MSE Stuff:
- banks checked and all good
- my lovely little car positively flew through her MOT - WHaT a good girl she is! £48 for that transferred across to Neil.
- Balance that was sitting in the holding account for car stuff now transferred across to the main car fund - although some will need to come back out at some stage as MrEH needs tyres.- pizza for tonight will aside from the mozzarella be entirely from the freezer. Bargain tea - and well done past me for freezing the dough and stashing the extra garlic baguette in the freezer too!- banks checked and all good
- an item I ordered through the big river site arrived but was entirely the wrong size so I’ve put a return in - will need to take that to the PO later on. I’ve reordered directly for the supplier’s own website now as the discount code is working again.- noticed that the bath seal has split so will be investigating a replacement. My plans for today are the shopping - keeping to as low a budget as I can manage. I also want to investigate quiche recipes, make the wild garlic pesto and get odds and ends done round the house. With that in mind, I shall get on my toes and crack on, I think, as I’m feeling quite motivated to Get Stuff Done!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Your post about pizza and the freezer reminded me to thank you for the tip about freezing mozzarella - used some the other night after my bonus delivery and you'd never know it had been frozen, so thank you! I wouldn't have realised that otherwise.
Your beers sound good. Presumably the range varies from branch to branch of the chain though? Maybe we'll slope off there after the tap room this evening...Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Vix their app gives you an idea of what is currently in and on next in each pub - obviously a lot comes down to how on the ball the staff are at updating things though. I’m not the biggest fan of the chain overall, but it does tick boxes when what you want is either a reliable plate of tasty but non outstanding food, or in their Good Beer Guide pubs, a competently kept pint! We’ve always used them at various airshow locations because it is somewhere that you can guarantee everyone in group will be able to get their chosen drink at a decent price!L - I would lob some over, but I suspect I need to hang on to every last ounce of motivation I have as thry escape all to easily! 🤣
Shopping dealt with anyway - quite impressed with Lil’s British climbers in their garden offers - nabbed a nice Clematis (“Elizabeth” which is my Mum’s middle name!) for £3.99 - looks fairly healthy and vigorous so fingers crossed it’ll do ok!Also
- got a load of washing to the machine - although not started it running as yet as want to check the rest of the weekend’s weather forecast
- cleared out the grate from last weekend, and made a start at setting the fire
- looked up a recipe for lemon curd which I can make a half quantity of to use our two lingering lemons.
- had a quick dust round upstairsWe’ve just had lunch - and I think my next mission will involve a quick plod to the PO with that parcel, nipping into Al’s while I’m in that direction, and then head back and do the bits of cooking type stuff that need sorting.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
