Virgin cancellation nightmare

Options
Hi. After 2 conversations with virgin (both of which were over 2 hrs with them trying to persuade me to stay) I finally cancelled my service giving them 30 days notice.
They advised me of my final bill, but I've now had a bill from them with a £7.50 late payment charge. There is no possible reason for this as my DD and my last virgin bill were paid on time.
Does this go on your credit file and how do I sort this mess out.
I'll never ever recommend them or use them again. It's been one nightmare after another trying to cancel my services. They've also charged me a whole month on this bill, rather than the payment they told me before on the day I called them to cancel.
Can anyone help???
