Hi my mother in law recently passed and I’m completing the C1 form I have a couple questions if anyone can offer some advice. 

1. The will doesn’t show the executor middle name do I still include it as her full name? 

2. Do I need to send anything with the form. Ie the will? Or would they ask to see it if the want to review it further? 

3. I have estimated the household items , clothing and jewellery as 5k is it ok just to round it she had nothing of significant value. No expensive furniture or jewellery etc. 
4. How do we pay the sheriff court for the process? Do we send a cheque with the form. 

Sorry for multiple questions been trying for ages to get through the helpline .

There's information here https://www.mygov.scot/confirmation which may help.  Confirmation is a different beast to the English probate and it isn't always easy to understand the process.  Others here will provide some clarity for you.

Perhaps £5k over estimates the household items worth. All the furniture etc will realise very little at auction and some will not be wanted by charity.  In line with common advice here I used the figure of £500 which was accepted by the Sheriff Court without comment,

Suggestion for question 1. If you are the executor, include your full name in the C1. And in para 2 of page 2 as part of your entry include - In said will I am named as [enter name as in will].
