People all over Sussex are currently ignoring GXS. I'm advising a couple of local panicky people and they keep showing me boring Trace letters. Just laughable stuff.
"Then I appeal to GXS" - pointless but do it
"plus check box IAS appeal" - no.
"to be harassed by TRACE". Laugh at them.

Why not email the port authority and ask them the question. You'll have it in writing then - one way or the other!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.
@Umkomaas ok will do, thank you. I can't find Shoreham Port Authority's email only a general enquiries. Should I email the CEO, seeing as he signed, asking him and complain at the same time? And then I appeal?
Once you have come down the slope from the A259, upon reaching the mini-roundabout you can see these signs...

The small signs there look like... [click on the image for GSV] Difficult to read but they do say 'PRIVATE LAND' and PARKING CHARGE OF £100'.
Your vehicle was parked well inside that area. So two points there... 1) your vehicle was on private land, and 2) that must mean that where your vehicle was parked it was on land covered by byelaws which in turn means - no keeper liability.
This isn't worth your time doing anything except the complaint to ShorehamPort and dispute the daft PCN to GXS, pointlessly but it looks reasonable later if they ever try a small claim.
You will get Trace letters. Ignore.

Sorry for the delay! I've had to hand in a big project.
I'm going to put in the appeal and send compliant at the same time. I'm not going to go into too much detail about the complaint, do I need to talk about what GXS have done to my mental health?
Thank you again!! You have no idea how grateful I am, these parking tickets are causing me so much stress. I've had so many.
I've stopped parking there, it gives me too much anxiety and im bound to do it again, the risks too high. Whereas I always keep my blue badge visible as I think if the dial indicates the wrong time the council has been more forgiving.
Sorry... @Coupon-mad I don't know how much effort I should put into the complaint letter because shoreham port aren't very nice, apparently. Also, just checking, the complaint letter I should not name me as driver?
I wanted to complain cos this stuff has been really affecting my mental health and that it makes no sense to be charging people who forget or make a keying error, seeing as ppl who attend that gym are given free parking; do I need to draft complaint as keeper not driver? I don't understand how they won't know that I am the driver. They have cctv.
Please can I draft letter to shoreham port and post here for review?
