Morning all.
Congrats to EC and posivibes for Miss ASB today.
No flying apart from dailies achieved yesterday. Even when DGD2 had a nap, I didn't bother. Let's just say it was twot.
First job today is walking Poppet then I'll see what flying I can do before it gets twot again. Am meeting friends this afternoon.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Morning xx
Congratulations to EC. Xx
Sending posivibes to Miss asb and all the other flylady children returning to school today / this week.
I'm up, dressed, made my bed, packed my lunch, and I'm about to sup a brew with my breakfast.
Love to all

Good morning all.
Great news ASB, hope today is the best for your DD. Great news too on EC. Hope all is well for her, and we have news of a beautiful baby today. I found out yesterday that our new grandchild, due in January, is to be a girl. Her mum and dad are over the moon. They have a little boy, aged three.
Flying! Gathered the hay from around the field, twice. The tedder flings it everywhere. Sounds easy but on a two acre field with a grass rake, hard work.
Picked lots of raspberries, are quite a lot!
Restocked the table at the gate with eggs, beans, tomatoes.
Made pastry, then made chicken pie for tea.
Sorted and cooked the remaining apricots, made apricot pie.
DW and WM loaded, and everything pegged out/put away.
Went with OH for an eye test, then did a bit of shopping, needed milk. Walked around charity shops for some new side plate. Stone floors and grandchildren!!
Spent an hour on phone with DD2, and another hour on phone with DS1. The first to talk about new baby, the second to sort a computer problem.
Did some knitting.
Pootled in the polytunnel.
We now have a new battery on the tractor. Over £150!!!! Still need to get a new wheel for the barrow. Returned borrowed battery to neighbour and have him some tines we had spare, for his tedder.
Today's list.
Ted field a couple more times. Maybe row it up if it's dry enough.
DW, probably twice.
Clean out chicken houses.
Pick raspberries.
Water tunnel.
Restock table.
Finish knitting sleeves.
Anything else I have time for.
Off now to put up DGDs hair. They are presently watching a woodlouse, to see if it's going to have babies!
Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxx

Welcome to this crazy world, Harper Rose, and congratulations to EC xx
Welcome to this crazy thread, Ekkwuss!
Oodles of coping vibes to MissASB x Glad things went reasonably well for you yesterday, ASB.
I managed to survive looking after my goddaughter and her sister for the day yesterday. They watered the pots, picked beans and tomatoes, ate what I put in front of them for lunch, climbed up the big hill with me at the hottest part of the day (we were mostly in shady woodland), read books, watched the Fantasia DVD, and ate all their tea - only complaining because I wouldn't give them any other snacks before or after tea.
Today I must do WMx1 and hang out while the sun shines. When I go to Action Heart later this morning I shall doubtless have to explain away the enormous bruise that is currently enhancing the bulge of my left biceps. I have no idea how I got that one! My car needs petrol, so any hope of a NSD has evaporated, but it's budgeted for. DH has an orthopaedic check-up this afternoon and is going out this evening, so I shall have some peace and quiet to recover from yesterday's non-stop chatter. And I have a page of instructions to write for K, on how to change the settings on the elderly (though young enough to be colour rather than B&W) computer monitor that I acquired FOC for her. There isn't even a user guide online, so I cracked the method by trial and error: go me!
Keep cool and well hydrated, everyone, and enjoy the sunshine xxx6 -
Congratulations to EC, and welcome to the fly family, Harper Rose.
Back to school / back to work posi vibes to all who are returning today. I for one have a rare day off!Waiting for the builder to arrive to discuss the latest transgression from plans….oops, door bell just gone, he is here. I am leaving DH to “project manage” this one, coward that I am.Not sure what the plan for today is - car insurance and admin for sure, as I need to get a grip. Twot for the allotment, maybe some cutting back in the garden. DD is home and I haven’t really seen much of her all summer, as one or the other of us is always working. Looking forward to hearing her noise, music, chat when she surfaces 💕.
Wm is running, next load is queuing, second cuppa calls.
Have a good day all x7 -
Up, dressed, DW on, cuppa slurped..
I need to take sleepsuit for Harper chunky-chicken.. and Squeaks meeting at 10.. and I need to sort paint because I said I would paint Harpers bedroom while EC is in hospital.. that gives me a couple of days to get it done. I may need to source a (free) large mirror and some pictures/shelving too. I love a challenge.

congrats to EC and welcome Harper Rose (but an ouch, too, big girl!)
Thinking of miss ASB
All washing done, hamper empty as i wanted to benefit from the heat. Last load running now.
Meeting a former colleague and work buddy for coffee later, and not too far from the horse and animal feed place so i’ll pop in and buy a sack of bunny food, since Wilko are about to fold. Not surprised actually, given the number of times i have been in there and not been able to find what i wanted. Sad though. Need to source straw and sawdust, too.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear6 -
Poppet is walked, what a beautiful morning. Dailies are done and I have hoovered through and freshened sofa throws. First of four wash loads is on the line, second whirring in machine.Spend less now, work less later.8
