Ypfpf said:thanks all. I've spent a bit of time just going around the site and its beginning to come together. it does ask for my password an awful lot and I've disabled 2 step Ver. for now as it wanted to send me a text with virtually everything i did.
being a bit OCD i'll need to allow some time as i'll want to click on every link in the account settings to make sure it's how i want everything, even down to email delivery options
spoonie T. that 1st link doesn't tell me i have any restrictions but maybe after i list something. the 2nd link doesn't work but I've found the relevant info.
thanks to all.The 21 day hold, if it is imposed will appear when you try and list , usually when you get to the box showing listing fees (make sure they are zero if it’s a private account) it will sat something like ‘funds may be held for up to 21 days pending confirmed delivery’.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. ok.
iv'e listed an item. no warnings about funds being held back. i can't actually find any info yet on what my selling limits are as in numbers and value, any clues?
also when using RM small parcels, if you go to the PO counter do you only have standard and signed for? whats that tracked version? is that for ordering postage online only? <<<FOUND THIS IS THE CASE
so if you buy postage online you print off your label and stick it on the parcel and then take it to the PO?
if you use the free collection service is it actually a royal mail collection person, maybe even the postie?
is a B&W printer ok? don't need colour?
thank you so much.
sorry so many questions but final one. i have come to the conclusion that small parcel tracked as offered online only is my best RM option.
this is £3.29 with £150cover (standard £2.99 with £30cover). are all RM options even cheaper if purchased directly from ebay?
thank you.0 -
Answering the first question have you looked on your seller hub at the promotional offers and monthly limits ?2
-
all it says there is "free to list" 1000, well 999 now listings per month. i see nothing regarding monthly limits.
seller/predicted seller level each say "unavailable" - maybe after my item sells?0 -

(If you have multiple parcels, mark them clearly with the postcode so you can match the right ones with the right labels.)
But if you want to print the labels yourself, black and white is fine.
For limits, try going to My eBay >> Selling overview. It should say you have listed x out of y items. You may also have the monetary limit displayed, but apparently there are several different versions of pages that eBay show to people so I don't know.
I have sold one item recently and before that was a few now and again in the years before 2019. My selling limits are, incredibly, 700 items or £35,000 per month, and were that when I listed the most recent item.1 -
thank you. as above i suspect nothing is showing till i make a sale. i'll keep looking / checking.0

edit: todays now matches yesterdays. ebay "glitches", iv'e heard about them
listed item 2.
is there any reason for this? photo one is item listed yesterday and photo 2 today. exactly the same postage settings.

i find the estimate/delivery date odd and the style difference just annoying to my OCD0 -
iv'e made a sale hooray!.
all i see regarding a hold is "on hold until delivery confirmed", is that standard for everyone or will funds become immediate depending on future performance?
still nothing to be seen on any other holds and nothing noted on selling "limits" other than the 1000 listings.
thanks all.

Ah, that’s the hold I was talking about. Normally, as happened with my sale this morning the money less fees shows within a couple of hours as available in your balance. When you post upload any tracking info, or best of all buy your label from EBay as it’s done automatically. Once you build a bit of history up of successful sales your funds won’t be held.
