I agree, most hotels would very much prefer if you did not eat food in your toom, especially greasy food like pizza.

Some offer room service which includes hot food.

And some positively encourage take away deliveries to the hotel (e.g. I've stayed at a Holiday Inn Express which didn't have any dinner offering of their own, but had a selection of local take away menus available for guests).
