Well thanks so much cajef. I thought these forums were supposed to be helpful, not judgemental. By the way, see my latest comment on your link. And no, I don't spend my life looking through these forums as you seem to do.

Thanks to the rest of you. It looks like I will have to pay the £356 but I really don't think they should be allowed to charge for it twice. So much to a free market. You're tied into everything you sign up for.

Hmm no need to be so sharp just because people arent giving you the answer that you're after. The information they've given above is the correct & helpful one.

So much to a free market? It is a free market, you're missing the point that its you that hasn't done the homework by realising that you're tied into contracts! Which i don't feel its reasonable grounds to criticise the people that have already posted in this thread.

You tied yourself into the contracts in the first place, i guess you're now learning the quick route of ensuring you know where you stand when you enter contracts with telecommunications companies.

You've hit the nail on the head there. First insurance, now BT. I hope you read the terms of your new insurance and of Talk Talk before you signed.
You do seem to try for the cheapest deals all the time. I hope one day you will realise that they aren't always the best, far from it as you will no doubt find out soon enough with TT.

Also, by the way, I was not being judgemental, merely pointing out facts, you have started two threads on these forums one titled 'Car insurance rip off' and the other 'BT Are Highway Robbers', both are complaining and criticising what you consider to be unfair charges, in both people have pointed out to you that it is your own fault for not reading the contracts, and thinking and expecting you can just cancel without any penalties.

By the way, I have read your latest comments in the insurance thread, and note that once again you are incorrect as pointed out by the next post (#7) in that thread.

Actually the BT Home Hub is an option when you sign up for their BB, you dont have to buy it. BT has 3 different levels for BB and on Option 1, their cheapest you dont have to buy the hub.
