A friend ordered a golf GTI ( VAG but not a SEAT obviously) in OCT 21 he got it 18 months later earlier this year, hope thing have improved since then
Omg hope I dont have to wait that long. Surely if I have to wait so long I could cancel my order...what if the part exchange car I am exchanging stops working till then or anything like that? Thats a looong time. But they do say things getting a bit better now with new car orders

Just realised you are the same OP that asked about a Leon or a Civic last week , what changed your mind ?
I read horrible things about Civic engines and I went for a test drive in an Ibiza and liked it, its small and nippy, its only me as well so I decided i dont really need a big car.
I like the IBiza apart from the fact the new ones are all 1 litre and don’t have a centre arm rest ( little things).

There were massive supply chain issues as we came out of the COVID period and other global events also impacted the availability of components.

You have been quoted 4 months so should reasonably expect that to be met.  If you have concerns, you could ask the Dealer whether there is any maximum period after which you would not have to proceed.

Didnt even notice theres no armrest....i dnt use the one I have now...too short for it, got short arms😊   the only thing that shocked me is that the ibiza fr sport has no parking sensors...so might have them installed by halfords. Cheaper there.

Ukraine one of the largest producers of car parts. Slovakia produces more cars per head of population than any other country. Guess where the parts come from.

If Op is wanting a car quick, then asking a dealer or searching online what cars are avaiable in dealers compounds they should get one quicker, but will have to go by what is in stock.

Depends on the Ibiza model one of the reasons we went with the Xcellence Lux model was because it has all the extras such as central arm rest, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera and automatic folding mirrors which we had in our previous car.

My current car Audi A3 was ordered Nov 2020, arrived in UK Apr 2021, delivered to me end July (my choice). Used to have the previous gen Ibiza, but same 1.0 EcoTsi it was previously. Really nippy engine despite 110bhp. Not sure why the sprint times are over 1 second more to 60.
