New Seat delivery lead time
****UPDATE: I got a build week, which is week 42, Mid October, so probably will be delivered in December, which is much better than expected. Order placed 1st September****
Hi All,
For the first time in my life I ordered a brand new car, a Seat Ibiza FR sport DSG.
The dealership says delivery around January, which is 4 months.
Anyone had any experience recently with Seat or VW group delivery times? I guess 4 months is normal , anyone waited less or more?? Any experiences are welcome.
Thanks

No experience with VW group but went into nearest Volvo dealership in June and was quoted 6 months minimum. Went into a Honda dealer in July and was told delivery would be around the end of Q1 2024.1

No experience with new Seat delivery but have just sold our SEAT Arona due to two turbo failures in five years (both replaced under warranty).
Ordered a new Mazda CX-30 in early August delivery expected mid October. Currently on a ship from Japan.0 -
12-16 weeks has been a typical delivery for new VAG vehicles for many years.11-15 weeks to get on the list, a week to build and deliver. My last Audi (2007) was delivered within 48 hours of it rolling off the line, which may explain why it was a dog of a car and the last Audi/VAG vehicle I will ever buy!0

First thing that scares me is, I went into a dealership.Did you get quotes from brokers first, ie lower price ?.0

I looked at a couple, think it was Car Wow and What Car for the Honda Civic but as it's a relatively new model the difference on price was minimal. Received several emails from Toyota dealers offering deals on a new Corolla which I wasn't after. Had to unsubscribe as they were becoming a nuisance.Bigwheels1111 said:First thing that scares me is, I went into a dealership.Did you get quotes from brokers first, ie lower price ?.0 -

I read horrible things about Civic engines and I went for a test drive in an Ibiza and liked it, its small and nippy, its only me as well so I decided i dont really need a big car.photome said:Just realised you are the same OP that asked about a Leon or a Civic last week , what changed your mind ?0
