    As mentioned by @iniltous it makes no sense to pay the fee to exit your contract early just to go back to Sky when you could use this money and purchase better equipment. 

    Investing in your own equipment means you aren’t dependent on a company’s own device for WiFi coverage.

    I had in the past found one of the older routers from Sky to be a bit rubbish so purchased my own modem/router which vastly improved WiFi performance and coverage
