I haven't received a parking ticket yet?

I parked in a Lidl car park on Mon 7th August, quickly popped in for a few things, but forgot to scan my receipt, which I've kept.
I spoke to the Lidl manager the following morning but he said there's nothing they can do and just to appeal when it comes through. I also have the Lidl Plus digital receipt on my phone as we're regular customers.
We moved house on Wed 16th August and our post was redirected. However, I still haven't received a PCN (Thur 30th August) from ParkingEye. It's quite possible that I spent less than 10 mins in the store - could this be why I haven't been issued a parking ticket? I'm going to appeal anyway but how can I find out if I have been issued a ticket and what's happened to it?

If you have a cast iron redirect on, do not poke the bear by contacting one of these cowboys yourself!2

I'd double check at the old address for post.
You could also email the DVLA and ask whether they have provided your keeper data to ParkingEye in the past x weeks.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm pretty sure there's nothing at the new address. I'll try the DVLA though...see what they say. Thanks!Coupon-mad said:I'd double check at the old address for post.

Do you honestly think an unregulated private parking company can just simply put something "adverse" on your credit file? Whilst I blame the inadequate education system in this country for leaving millions of citizens with insufficient knowledge of their basic rights, I still find it deeply disturbing that far too many gullible people go around thinking that they can just get a CCJ on their record out of the blue with no other intervening factors.Pebbles61 said:

TBH, I really didn't know whether they could or not and it's important to me that I maintain my excellent credit rating for various reasons, so I didn't want to take the risk. Right now, I'd just prefer to know whether I've been issued with a ticket or not, then I can act accordingly. I've fought and contested successfully a number of parking tickets over the years, so I'm not worried about appealing this one. I just want to move on to more important things.B789 said:

As long as your V5C logbook address is up to date, you can carry on life as normal and wait to see if they do issue an NtK/PCN. If/when they do, the Newbies/FAQ thread is your starting point for advice on how to go about getting it sorted with four plans, A, B, C and D.
FYI, nobody can give you a CCJ recorded on your credit history without going through quite a few legal steps, including, but not limited to, giving you a notice by letter with a minimum of 30 days notice of an intention to issue a claim s per pre-action protocols and serving on you at your address, an actual claim form.2 -

You could also email the DVLA and ask whether they have provided your keeper data to ParkingEye in the past x weeks. You should email the DVLA and ask which organisations (when and for what reason) accessed the registered keeper's data from them between a range of dates which includes the date(s) of the parking incident(s). You need to provide the registered keeper's full name and address, the address on the V5C logbook and the Vehicle Registration Mark of the vehicle involved in the parking incident.SubjectAccess.Requests@dvla.gov.ukThis service is free of charge.Even though you email your request, the DVLA will respond via Royal Mail. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thank you for your advice. I'm pretty sure the logbook is correct but I'll check.B789 said:As long as your V5C logbook address is up to date, you can carry on life as normal and wait to see if they do issue an NtK/PCN. Just an update on the above...I went onto WhatApp chat and managed to (eventually) get an answer to my question. Where is my parking ticket? They asked for the car reg. and gave the following response: "We have noted your vehicle registration number and can confirm that there are currently no outstanding Parking Charges for this registration.". I've asked them if there is a grace period at the car park in question (out of curiousity) but am still waiting for an answer.Pebbles61 said:I parked in a Lidl car park on Mon 7th August, quickly popped in for a few things, but forgot to scan my receipt, which I've kept.
