You have probably made your decision now but my experience is that I ditched the run flats for normal tyres. And in my opinion it’s the only bit between my car and the road and so I have bought premium Goodyear tyres. Currently have Continental winter tyres fitted.
All run-flats are not created equal. I had the dreaded Bridgestone ones. No wonder people call the 'Brickstones' I changed them long before they wore out, for ContiSport runflats  - what a difference! Quiet and noy all all bumpy.
Some folks have been put off runflats for life thanks to Bridgestone.

Mine were Pirelli Cinturato P7. I don’t think I’d go back to run flats if I’m honest!! Now I have found something that is good for me.
  • Reference advertising and cash flows, I'm pretty sure the companies plonking on Super Pilot A1 F1 NASA and these type of tyres certainly get absolutely bonkers discounted prices when negotiating with tyre makers.

Red Bull is a good example, IIRC they spend over 50% of revenues an advertising, they obviously feel better doing that than selling produce at 50% or less than normal retail prices in the various markets, so some would say people happy to pay a 100% for a well branded drink.

If more evidence is needed, compare car tyre prices between the UK and USA or other markets, like so much other stuff, charge the amount to make most profits.
