Now i'm on to the letter of defense stage...
I'm just going to latch onto that.

Are you saying that you have received a County Court Claim Form?
If so, what is the Issue Date on it?

Yes I received a claim form on 25/10/2023, then I went on MCOL and did the AOS on 09/11, then i've filed my defence on 21/11 by emailing it to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk

OK. You used the Template Defence?

What facts about your case did you add to it and did you use the CEL v Chan transcript and extra two paragraphs linked in para 3 of the Template Defence?

Yes i used the template defence, thank you!
I added some details about what transpired that i had already used in my original appeal, but I didn't see the CEL v chan transcript and extra two paragraphs

If necessary (by that I mean if the claimant decides to pursue the case to court) you can add CEL v Chan to your witness statement.

I'm filling out the Directions Questionnaire, but it seems the court claim procedure thread is a little out of date (it does say updated 2016), D1 is a yes/no question, and asks
'Do you consider that this claim is suitable for determination without a hearing? i.e by a judge reading and considering the case papers, making a decision and giving a note of reasons for that decision?
If no, please state why not.'
I've put no, but i'm not sure what to write as to why not

I'm in the process of writing my witness statement, i will post here once completed for advice!
But am i right in thinking that i should have received a copy of the directions questionnaire from the claimant?
Also i ticked the 'no' box for mediation, but i received an email saying that an appointment for mediation had been arranged, is this normal?

Thanks for all the help and advice so far! I'm feeling confident going into the witness statement stage!

Yes all normal - reject the Mediation as it isn't suitable for disputed parking charge cases.

I've copied some sections from other peoples witness statements, and some of them say 'see exhibit xx' where it seems they have attached documents such as 'civil enforcement limited v chan' and 'parallel parking v anon' - are these documents available as attachments? or could i screenshot the relevant sections to include?

Also, does anyone know of any specific cases where a breakdown happened within the carpark where the PCN occurred? I'm struggling with what to write as why the claim should be struck out other than 'i broke down' lol
