Why dont Emirates accept AMEX?

When I first read this thread and was surprised at the question. I checked on Google and asked the question does Emirates accept Amex and the answer was yes.The other reason I am puzzled by the question is that you can transfer Amex MR points to the Emirates rewards scheme and gain Skyward miles.Referenced in this article:Why would both Amex and Emirates allow that transfer if Emirates didn't accept Amex?As @Marchitiello suggested, I don't think the OP has give us all the facts.0

Just looked at the receipt of the mentioned upgrade, paid in London and in GBP even though the leg I was upgrading was from Dubai.0
