Can you install fibre broadband before the WiFi hub arrives?

Good morning Moneysaving Experts - i have just ordered full fibre broadband from Vodafone (supplied by City Fibre).  As part of the process Vodafone offered Fri 15 Sept as an install date with their WiFi hub arriving a couple of days before this.  I also got a separate email from City Fibre where I can amend the installation date - and see that I could get it moved to this week, so less waiting time.  Presumably I won't be able to use fibre until I get the Vodafone Wifi hub though.  Does anyone know - can you ask Vodafone to send out the hub any earlier or is there no chance and I may as well wait for the original Sep 15 install date.  Thank you for any feedback

You need the hub before the install as the CF engineer will activate the connection during the visit.  You therefore need to get Vodaphone to send it earlier,

I would be careful trying to change dates TBH, I can see wires getting crossed and the date ending up being pushed back.
