Can you share a photo of your meter?
How do you fancy spending a day in your scout hut, reading the meters manually every hour and seeing which register increments when?
You can watch some paint dry to liven things up
Do you mean the meter, or the "home" display?
The meter, the thing attached to the wall with cables as thick as your finger going into it.
    Plus any associated electrical gubbins.
    Something like this:

OP, would you be comfortable putting the data you received into a google doc (redacting anything personally identifiable) and sharing to see if anyone here could make heads or tails of it?
I would very much be happy to do this!
It's already in CSV format.  Is Google Docs still preferable; happy to do that if so.

Are you being charged for 154kWh plus 169kWh on the EDF bill for that period?  I am no expert but I wonder if you have a three phase electricity supply into the building and the load is split across two of the phases. Not sure how 3 phase metering works, but it seem s strange you are being charged for two different usage amounts on the same bill.
Yes, there's a Day Rate and a Night Rate.   Economy 7 in old money.  Doubt if it's 3-phase; it's very rural down here and the utilities don't give much of a toss.
    Thanks for that.

Does it refer to Day and Night rates on your billing? If so, what unit rates are you being billed for the day and night elements? Are they the same prices? And also, is there any indication of the day and night timings on the bill, or on-line if you check your tariff details?

How often is the hut used and at what times?

Because the Day and Night usage figures are so similar across the month you have reported on, I am wondering if the two meter registers have been set up to record 12 hour periods each. However, that still wouldn't explain the discrepancy between the meter reads and the spreadsheets.

If you do go to the hut, can you take the actual readings off the meter so we can see what they are showing now.
Also, as the next billing period will shortly be arriving, it would be good to get the readings on the day of the billing so you can check that the actual meter readings match the bill (Give or take a few hours depending on what time you read the meter).

Your usage of 9-10 kWh /day (3000 /year) or (in July) of 150 kWh (2000 / year) actually sounds about par for the course. You will have oil pumps in winter heating season. I run a Church Hall and thats 8000 kWh/year (it was 11000 but post Covid we invested heavily and have LED throughout but have dishwasher/fridge/freezer/hot water boiler.

Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
