i am looking for something around £100 as i have a £75 argos voucher.
i was wondering what would be the best phone in this price range?
there appears to be some awful phones around the £50-80 range, but some half decent above this.
i want a fairly good display, battery life and performance.
i dont want a slow and unresponsive phone.
the models that interest me for example is the nokia c32 which has a glass back. also the moto g22 looks fairly good. theres also a samsung for just over £100.
ideally i want to get from argos sim free phones category due to my voucher.
any input appreciated.

They are all Chinese phones these days! I’d also recommend an Oppo, great phones.

Nokia - owned by Finland-based HMD Global, phones are made in China and India.

My wife and I have had a series of the Motorola G-series phones.
They do everything we could need them to (transferred from previously having the Samsung Galaxy S-series) and amazing battery life.
    Excellent battery life.
We are both now on our second or third of these phones, moving up the series number as we go, and can't imagine considering any alternative when we next need to change.

Argos often have very competitive pricing on these, which is particularly helpful for the OP with the voucher.
The OP could do far worse than pick one of these two:

Oppo is definitely Chinese. I think they are the budget arm of OnePlus? My daughter has an Oppo A9, which has been pretty good.
Redmi is also decent. Last time I looked the Redmi Note 9AT was about £100.

I have the G7 Power.  Purchased 2019 and still going strong.  I only charge twice a week.

My wife has the G9 Play

Motorola are poor at providing software updates though. Otherwise I’d recommend them.
