  • Is it licenced as an HMO?
I dont know sorry. Is there a way to find out?

Did she follow the moving within Haringey page to move her account from one address to another? I would probably have used the moving out of Haringey page and let them contact her to query it later.
Ta. Yes she did. She's very much a rule follower. The thought of being devious would horrify her.. But she is learning about life

It’s not being devious as such, she has simply giving Haringey the online prompt that she is taking over the responsibility for the council tax and they have responded inline with their standard process.

So the council are incorrectly billing your daughter and not the landlord. Her tenancy agreement should specify exactly what part of the house she is renting and if she shows this to the council, they should be able to sort the matter out
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

especially if she shows the council tax people the HMO reg number. Inter-departmental communication is not always the best
  • Thanks again everyone for your replies. Hopefully she now has enough info to sort the matter, and I am a bit more knowledgeable than I was :)
