Save money and stay with 02 - sim only
After April price hikes on sim plans with O2 I looked around for other deals. I prefer the O2 network as it has best service at home. I switched to Virgin mobile which runs on O2 network, main benefit was cheaper and unused data roll over each month.
Some months later I got moved back to O2 on the same tariff and I got double the data because O2 don't do data roll over.
I am surprised that Virgin Mobile are actively moving customers over to O2 AND actively recruiting them with cheaper tariffs but that's great for us.

I was on 15gb a month , looked at uSwitch and there was a deal for 100gb but less money a month . Followed the link and it allowed me to keep my number .
The same deal was not on the O2 website directlyEx forum ambassador

I have just been moved from Virgin Mobile to o2. I was paying £7/month to Virgin for sim only with 12Gb data. All good so far. But..... my new o2 account is for £20/month with a £13/month discount bolt-on. Nett £7/month.
However, somtime next year, there will be a price increase based on RPI plus about 3.9%. My fear is that this will be applied to the £20/month headline amount and not the nett £7/month. If so, it seems like sharp practice. Why can't o2 just charge me the £7 like Virgin did?0
