As an alternative to their complaint webform this can be used:

customer.service@royalmail.com

The advantage of email is you can include/attach screenshots and/or documents such as receipts.

After sending it you should receive an automated reply confirming receipt of your email with a unique reference number.

Raking up an old post - sorry.  I just tried this and got an automated email back, basically telling me to navigate the labyrynth of support options on their website - or call them (current call wait time: 50+ minutes).

Gave up and I'll go and have it out with the post office in person.
