I'm having "strange" problems on EE this morning and I wonder if anyone else is experience the same thing.
I could not find my package details on line (I wanted to check) and I used the Chat service. I am almost confused now about what happened in what order but one text message said something about a family member accessing my account. I then received a text message telling me that something had changed on my account.
At some point (not texts) the chat person asked me to log out and log back in. I did that and the chat screen partially obliterated my screen and I could not get past it.
I tried to log out and, concerned about the texts, I telephoned EE (150) The person informed me that: "The System was a little bit down" and I expressed my concern about the strange texts - no one else has access to my EE account and I had not changed anything. I have a SIM only contract and I have always owned my mobile phone 'outright.'
I was assured that nothing had changed on my account. My initial request was how to locate my package details on my on line account.
I was asked to read the texts I had expressed concern about - and they had disappeared. Understandably I'm concerned about this. The person I spoke to on 150 advised me to log out and ring back in two hours. Almost inexplicably the blank chat box disappeared and, not clicking on anything else, I could see what seemed to be my account package - but not one I recognize. When I mentioned this I was told that the figure there was before my discount - but there was no where I could see the details about this discount.
I have to ring back in two hours. but, somehow, none of this makes sense. I find this really quite disconcerting. If anyone has had a similar experience this morning, or can shed light on it, I'll be most grateful, thank you.
UPDATE: I have just found an email (must have arrived when I was on the 'phone to the person at EE) and here it is:

"Hi,
|
Thanks, The EE Team" I have not clicked on the links in it - I have only just found this email. I telephoned EE, as advised earlier. There is no record of EE having sent the above email. My account seems to be unchanged. The lady I spoke to did her best but it seems that some information regarding my contract details is not available on my on line account. I'm satisfied that my account is "in order" but still find it all a bit strange. |
