I had some emergency with my family had to fly abroad, but will be back home tmrwPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Yes, i covered issue date and claimant's name.Coupon-mad said:OK you've covered up the issue date and the claimant's name - please confirm those?
And how many PCN dates are given and what are those dates, do some include Lockdown?
I counted 18pcns in the claim form. 24.08.2021 07.09.2021 08.09.2021 09.09.2021 13.09.2021 15.09.2021 16.09.2021 17.09.2021 22.09.2021 24.09.2021 27.09.2021 29.09.2021 05.10.2021 07.10.2021 11.10.2021 12.10.2021 13.10.2021 27.10.2021
What do you mean by lockdown?
I filed an Acknowledgment of Service on the 27thKeithP said:With the Coventry address poorly masked on the Claim Form, I suspect the Claimant is UK Parking Control Limited.
I am going to use the Issue Date of 14th August given us in the opening post.
You say "I acknowledged the form yesterday".
Are you saying that you filed an Acknowledgment of Service yesterday?
If so, did you do so in the name of the named Defendant?
Everything must be done in the Defendant's name. You cannot take this over. With a Claim Issue Date of 14th August, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, the named Defendant has until 4pm on Monday 18th September 2023 to file her Defence.
That's three weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.
In the name of the defendant, that's correct, I will not take over since it's under her name.
I didnt get time to start the defence altho i wanted to 3 days ago , will do it in this week.
I was writing today another long email to the HA parking managers higher up to see if i can get i cancelled, tmrw will tackle the defence on newbie thread0 -
claimant is not uk parking control, i can share claimant if you want via DM or should i post it here?0

What do you mean by lockdown?
COVID pandemic. When people were stuck at home. I see they were all in 2021.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

No, i don't think so, I doubled checked timeline on gov site from August, it was after the lockdown : Most legal limits on social contact removed in England and the final closed sectors of the economy reopened (e.g. nightclubs)Coupon-mad said:What do you mean by lockdown?

I should add maybe for detail that the defendant was at home/working , she wasn't the driver, the husband was the driver, and she was the reg keeper as she was looking after the car ie road tax, mot, and was paying for it. She wanted to take over the car but she abandoned this plan bcs of all the PCNs & ULEZ so she eventually sold it.
I received also a reply from the SAR they send me all the pictures and pcs they have in a zip file.
Still reading the defense templete on the thread,
For point 3
If this was a residential site where the driver lives or was a permitted visitor, state those parking rights. Examples are in the NEWBIES thread.
I assume this counts for HA too?
and forEXPLAIN IN YOUR OWN WORDS...NB: defences are written in the THIRD person as 'the Defendant', not 'I did this' nor 'my/me'].
Say what went wrong. If you don't know, didn't get any letters or it was years ago & you can't recall, say that instead. Signs unlit in darkness? Permit slipped off the dash? VRM keying error?
Can you point me toward any example?

Yes a HA is residential.
There are already a few residential defence examples linked in the NEWBIES thread. Did you miss the one by @Rinches19 ? It's there for you.

Hey all, so we have copied and added several points for the defence but it turned out to be 40 points long now, I'm worried we added what I should not have but I did my best to understand what I inserted reflects to the defendant situation even had to use ai to understand the complex wordings at one point, we used rinches19 example and jhony86 the rest from newbie thread
and uploaded it here (removed for now)
point 2 - 14 mix of rinches19 and jhony86
point 14 onwards is the basic templates on newbie thread
the defendant will have to submit this by Sunday, please let me know what you think. we will then get ready for the WS
we don't have yet the tenancy agreement and the HA is slow at responding sometimes and doesn't even respond to emails at times, since the defendant signed a license to assign only she does not have the tenancy at hand. In case we need to read the specifics of the tenancy , the HA said there is no contract but only a deed to sign. We are confused ourselves tbh but will chase it up0
