Group Nexus - DCB Legal Claim Form

Hello all, I have recently received a claim form for a PCN dating back to March 2023. It has now come to August and I received a Claim Form whereby the claimant is DCBL acting on behalf of Group Nexus.
Now, having gone through the Newbie pages, I went along and produced and sent through a SAR within which I requested the following as per the guide:
ALL photos taken
All letters/emails sent and received, including any appeal correspondence earlier
PDT machine record from the day of the PCN issued
All data held, all evidence relied on, and a full copy of the PCN, NTK
and a list of all PCNs outstanding against myself and/or this VRN Be reminded that any claim must be for all PCNs, not several separate claims.
Immediately I received an automated reply email, requesting that in order to release information they will need to validate my identity, claiming a copy of driving license or a utility bill as proof of purchase?
Is this necessary, or would it suffice if I just sent through a copy of my V5C?
Also they requested the parking charge reference, which I did not include as it was not in the Legal Beagles SAR draft (but obviously I would attach this when sending through relevant identification docs such as the V5C.
Mainly I have made this thread, to help be guided through the coming up deadlines.
To note the issue date was the 17th August 2023. I would appreciate establishing the dates in regard to the date the AoS needs to be submitted and the deadline for the defence.

I would delay confirming your details for the SAR until after your Defence has been filed.
The reason being that you want to file a Defence based on the woefully inadequate Particulars of Claim.
When complying with their request, a copy of the Claim Form should satisfy them perfectly without giving them anything they don't already know. With a Claim Issue Date of 17th August, you have until Tuesday 5th September to file an Acknowledgment of Service. Do not file an Acknowledgment of Service before Tuesday 22nd August, but otherwise there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Tuesday 19th September 2023 to file your Defence. That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.0 -
The Claimant isn't DCBLegal.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Huge thanks for the write up. With the claim issue of 17th August you said, I have until Tuesday 5th September (tomorrow). I intend to file this today. I was under the impression that it was 14 days that one has to file an AoS (which would have been 31st August, however you state that actually I have until the 5th September, is that so?) I have been busy and only sitting down to file it today, so hope it is not too late. Thanks.KeithP said:I would delay confirming your details for the SAR until after your Defence has been filed.

Consequently once I file my AoS, I guess I would have until the 18/19th September to file my defence. As you said, should I not be confirming my details for the SAR until I file my defence? Just want to figure out my gameplan for the coming weeks.0

No SAR yet.jerrytod999 said:Consequently once I file my AoS, I guess I would have until the 18/19th September to file my defence. As you said, should I not be confirming my details for the SAR until I file my defence? Just want to figure out my gameplan for the coming weeks.
You don't need to guess your defence date. KeithP 's reply that you quoted states the deadline for defence too.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Should only take you a few minutes to file an Acknowledgment of Service.jerrytod999 said:

Yes, I was right when I earlier wrote......you have until Tuesday 5th September to file an Acknowledgment of Service.I really cannot understand why you have left that until the very last minute.
Especially as you thought you had to file it earlier.Be aware that if you really cannot find five minutes to file an Acknowledgment of Service in time, then the filing of your Defence becomes due at that time.

And ..... don't be confused about "GROUP NEXUS",they are simply a two man band that trade under different names
One is CP PLUS ?
They are NOT SOME BIG SET UP. although they pretend they are using GROUP NEXUS
SOME MAY SAY IT'S ALL LALA LAND STUFF
We are GROUP MSE and although it takes a while we really do see these money scammers scoot back the hole they came from

FYI, the claim is "deemed" served 5 days after the issue date. Once the claim is "deemed" served, you have 14 days in which to acknowledge service. As long as you acknowledge service between the 5th and 19th day of the issue date (within 14 days of service) you then have another 14 days beyond the 19th date of issue (at least, depending on whether the 14th day falls on a non-working day) by which you have to file your defence. There is no point in delaying the AoS as long as it is done after the 5th day from the date of issue.jerrytod999 said:Consequently once I file my AoS, I guess I would have until the 18/19th September to file my defence. If you filed the AoS between the 5th and 19th day after the claim issue date, if the 33rd day after ther date of issue falls on a weekend or bank holiday, you then have until 4pm on the next working day to file your defence.1
