Detroit Car Hire

Hi, all. Looking at hiring a car for a visit in-between Christmas and New Year to Detroit. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for sites to use for the booking.

Thanks

Come up with dates and what you are getting currently. Then we'll see if it can be bettered.

Looking at DTW airport pick up from 26th December 17:00  - 2nd Jan 12:00, dropping back off at airport.

Don't really wont an economy or compact as am 6ft 3 and rather like driving bigger cars, yet they dont have to be massive monsters.

so far, seen Netflights to be cheapest as seen SUV's - Premiums for between £350-£405 which includes

    Unlimited Mileage

    Collision Damage Waiver

    Loss Damage Waiver

    Theft Protection Insurance

    Local & State Taxes

    Supplemental Liability Ins.

    1 Free Additional Driver

    Airport Surcharge

    Zero Excess

    24 Hour Mechanical Breakdown Assistance

Is it something in which you are interested with regard to there not being the option of a free additional driver on this occasion?
As an aside, there is no benefit to you in setting the return time of the car at 12.00. Better to leave it at 17.00 in case of any setback. There's no penalty for returning it early.
If you do decide that you want to book direct with Hertz, then it's worth joining their Gold members program; that will qualify you for the free additional driver for subsequent bookings and get you faster service on location.
Let me know if you actually want to go with Hertz or to stick with Netflights for the free additional driver/s.

the additional driver isnt a key factor, it's very unlikely my misses will drive at all in America.

Look at fly drive offers as well as often the airlines can get you a decent deal.
