Planning saying windows glazing bars not acceptable

    My feeling is that would add significantly to the cost.
    Instead of one larger double glazed unit costing maybe £250, there might be six or eight smaller ones costing maybe £150 each. Plus bespoke items always cost a lot more than standard ones.

    I imagine Planning objected to OPs windows because they had JUST  astragal (stuck on) bars, which do look odd. If they (or new OP) had Geogian bars internally with astragal bars outside, planning would be happy. It would not cost much more, as it is ONE sealed DG unit divided internally.
