Good Evening
I have approx 200K in a S&S Isa and given the current stock market uncertainty I am asking would it be possible to transfer 100k into a Cash Isa and leave the balance in the S&S isa

What stock market uncertainty?
However, you can do what you want or you can use a Short Term Money Market fund in the S&S ISA

As Dunstonh said, you could leave the money in your S&S ISA and buy a Short Term Money Market fund, such as this one:
https://www.trustnet.com/factsheets/O/gwuo/royal-london-short-term-money-market/
It pays just under the Sonia rate, which is currently 5.18% and moves up and down with BoE rates, more or less. It's not quite as safe as cash, but almost, and will not fluctuate like your other investments, as you can see in the link.
Or transfer it, up to you!0 -
As others have said - you can use a STMMF within a S&SISA for a 'cash like' investment. I have the RL STMMF mentioned above in my SIPP for the money I plan to withdraw in the next 1-2 tax years. If you do want to transfer some of your S&SISA to a cash ISA then make sure your S&SISA provider allows partial transfers-out, some don't, with Fidelity often mentioned as not allowing partial S&SISA transfers.redmalc said:Good Evening

In fact in the last 12/18 months global markets have been rather boringly stable.
On the other hand if you think that say for the next year, a 5% guaranteed return on cash is a better bet than leaving it in investments, then you might be right and you might be wrong.2
