Approx. cost to replace windows and doors

This thread is over two years old.shawnwalter said:Hi guys, had a slight issue over Christmas in that my flatmate decided to let a few friends stay in the flat without telling any of us - seemingly they couldn't get the door open properly one evening and so decided to break the glass. Apparently they thought putting some cardboard and tape in place of a window would be OK.
I've just called a glass repair person but he said he can't give me a quote over the phone - I was wondering if anyone would know roughly how much a window in a wooden door about 60cm*25cm (the sort with two rectangular windows in) would cost - rough upper and lower bounds for a quote? The guy on the phone said he'd need to take a look before giving a quote.
(just so I know how much to get out of the cash point - my flatmate will be fully reimbursing me when he gets back so if it turns out that this guy is on the more expensive side I'm not *that* fussed. Though obviously I don't want to be completely fleeced)
