Charity shop near us has a bit of everything but looks very presentable, with media they scan it, can't remember the name but not one I'd heard of, or if they can get more in the shop it goes on the shelf.
If they get too many they'll do 5 for £1 and they'll recycle as a last resort.
Given it's in a small town their weekly turnover is surprising.
Electrics are collected by someone, textiles are recycled if they can't be sold, in all in all appears to be a very efficient set up.
Given there are companies that will collect unwanted media & books I'm surprised charity shops turn it away, might only be pennies per kilo but it's still money for their cause.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces2
