I was told that it would be possible to fit a better aerial and so improve communications.  But in my case that turned out not to be necessary.

Quick update , EON now offer a Dumb mode for anyone with smart meter issues , 16.5p per kw . Just have to send a picture of export reading . Time to change I think .

Hi, I know that - and I also know the data is reliable. I get why they won't use it but I'm more bothered about the lack of my signals getting to the supplier via what seems to be poorly performing DCC equipment. Do you have the pleasure of decent half hourly signals and appropriate Export and Import tariff payback from Octopus by any chance?

People ought to make sure they have a working smart meter before fitting solar, I guess, and if not available then consider off-grid solar.

Perhaps DCC coverage ought to cover the entire country if smart meters are as important as they are made out to be...
