Compensation window missed by 7 minutes

Hi all, I can’t really believe this but I recently got back from an easyJet holiday from Santorini. The flight back was delayed by a considerable margin - at least two hours - so I put in a compensation claim. EasyJet replied apologising for the delay but as I was a mere 7 minutes under the threshold for compensation I wasn’t entitled to anything.

Wondered, more out of hope, if there is anything I can do?

The threshold is 3 hours on arrival. Measured by aircraft parking and doors open, not landing time.

They have to set a threshold somewhere and unfortunately that means some people will lose out very near the threshold. But likewise some will be very happy when their flight is 3 hours 1 minute late!

Only think you can maybe do is double check the arrival time and make sure easyJet's 2 hours 53mins is doors open and not landed time.

I had a similar thing with Eurostar - sorry, since the train was only 57 minutes late you get nothing. It's not like 61 minutes is suddenly massively more disruptive than 59 - perhaps it should be on a sliding scale instead...
