Hugs to one and all, especially to Kazm for all the coping. Donating a brick wall for Narc0 to hit her head against - I agree with Piggers, medical secretaries are the way to go.
The hospital doing Mr N's op rang to see if we'd heard from the rheumatologist; no, but Mr N has now left about 4 urgent messages. Hospital sec has discussed it with surgeon who said he feels there is no discernible risk in operating 8 days after Mr N's usual meds as compared with waiting 14 days, so he is happy but will tell the anaesthetist. So unless rheumatologist rings tomorrow with a different opinion, Mr N will be heading for surgery early Thursday.
Gym swim this morning.
Washed one load including bedding AGAIN.
Picked runner beans. Watered greenhouse.
Went to visit R in hospital, he is looking much better than on Friday and was in fairly good spirits
Went to Mr T on the way home. My word food is expensive now; yellow sticker stuff seems the 'normal' price to me.
Researched a new phone for Mr N as his is rubbish and old. Now ordered, a bit back from TopCashback. He can collect it tomorrow morning after he's been to the gym and can spend his 'convalescence' working out how to use it.
Picked foliage to use with the last few flowers I'd bought for various arrangements as a friend has just had a knee op. I seem to currently be spending my entire time visiting/phoning medical facilities. Oh yes, I booked a dental checkup - our practice is going private-only from 1 Sept but to my amazement I got an NHS appt for next Monday; maybe everyone else has left!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
i have stacked DW and unpicked the shoulder seam on the jumper as i sewed it inside out. to be fair the outside is the garter stitch ? knit side. Seam resewn. Got too dark for me to sew…these days the old peepers prefer natural light for sewing. And the sunshine has meant pollen so they are sore and my tears are too viscous.
My friend has given me lots of jam etc jars, which is brilliant as I need them for apple day, so i have had them in soak to remove labels with little success.

I'd like to try joining again, have tried before and always failed but am hoping this time I can succeed. Cleaned the back bedroom today - took off all the bedlinen and washed it - hung out to dry in the sunshine. Dusted the windowsill, cleaned the windows, cleared off and dusted all the tops, dusted the skirtings and hoovered. And finally, sent the robot vacuum cleaner for a foray under the bed. Lots of dust emptied into the bin (where does it all come from), and then emptied all the bins and did the recycling. Oh and remade the bed. Probably took 20 mins tops and it feels so much nicer."Think of many things, do one"

Narco... sounds like the secretary does not like to do any work. Post the paperwork.. or try the switchboard.. work email addresses are there to be given out they are not of any interest to MI5.. Then put in a complaint to the hospital trust. Our letters from the hospital have the email on them. I have a direct email to the neurologist for Squeak.. and the dietician and paed for Twinkle.. which reminds me I need to email the neuro..
I have packed almost everything.. for Twinkle and not a single thing for anyone else.. I really need to pull my finger out tomorrow!! .
I did knit a baby hat though.. and bought curtains weights to go on the corner of the swimming costume if OH hates me and makes me go swimming.. I do need to reschedule any sessions for Monday.. I will do that now..
Kettles hot and ice pops are in the freezer.. help yourself

am halfway round the kitchen - DD is just making a brew. Crockery cupboard emptied and wiped out. 2 pieces removed and to be listed on ebay as i have put my new serving bowl in there. The posh dinner service has gone up to the top which means i will no longer struggle to get serving bowls out.

Today's jaw-dropping incompetence was when, having updated our wills, Mr N and I received the amended version for checking ....on opening the email, what had been sent us was wills for 2 total strangers. Now that really is a breach of data protection. We drove over to the office and complained. Lots of apologies. Once these are correct, signed and valid, we will find another legal person to ensure it is handled properly in future.
Did Body Pump.
One load of washing done, hung out and dried.
Picked few more French beans, pulling spent plants up as I went. Picked rhubarb and a couple of apples for a dessert. Picked runner beans and tomatoes.
Visited friend just out of hospital from knee replacement (you don't want to hear her stories either, suffice it to say there are complaints in process).
Tidied and cleaned various gubbins in kitchen.
Went out on bike with Mr N (as he's not allowed to ride it for a few weeks assuming tomorrow's op goes ahead) to incorporate will writing company (enough said) and long stint in a phone shop while he tried unsuccessfully to get a new contract - assistant was extremely helpful but for some complicated IT reason, his ported phone number couldn't be applied to a reasonable sim-only contract.
Bags now packed for hospital.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Managed to squeeze in some cleaning before work yesterday. Used my long handled duster things (I have 3 different shapes - is that obsessive
) and dusted in between the stair rails and the hall skirtings too. Then wiped down the kitchen table and the landing windowsill, and had a hoover of the kitchen/diner and the hallway, plus the stairs. The stairs really need a good going over with the hose to get into the corners - there was something stuck onto the carpet so I tackled it with the tiny scrubbing brush from LL, and was amazed at the amount of dust that came up in the corner. This evening I'm planning to clean the main bathroom - so I'll hoover the landing afterwards and then do the stairs really thoroughly as I work my way down for dinner (DH should be cooking tonight
).
